Hi there... here are the basics. :)
My name is Jon. I'm 33 and I live in Phoenix, Arizona. I came out to myself and to a few friends in 2000. I started this blog in 2001 shortly after getting home from the first concert I ever attended. I've had 4 boyfriends since then... none for more than 9 months and most for much less, been engaged once... for only 1 month, and been single since 2004.
I've been employed with 3 different companies including my current job as a full-time technology administrator for an insurance brokerage. I also run my own website design firm and am partners in a game development studio with 2 friends.
I love cats but currently have no pets.
My favorite color changes frequently. In the past it's been blue, dark forest green, a deep red, and now a royal blue color.
My favorite food is pasta... usually just plain spaghetti is better than anything fancy.
I have several interests including architecture, musical theater, movies, and video games. I was an active member in the MMORPG World of Warcraft for 6 years before taking my current break. I may pick it back up at some point, but I'm enjoying my time away from it.
I have several movies that I like. My all-time favorite changes frequently... so it's hard to nail down one that is better than any other. I'm a sap for romantic dramas or romantic comedies. I loved "Titanic", "The Lake House", and even will go in for the teen romances like "A Cinderella Story". I have some off-beat favs too like "Clue".
My music tastes are extremely varied, ranging from Classical Symphony pieces to new age and pop rock artists. About the only music I absolutely despise is rap or hip-hop. It all sounds like shouting and far too much bass beat for me. I love voice harmonizing like Barbershop and Acapella. I'm also a fan of the teen genre here as well... or what use to be the teen artists like the Backstreet Boys. You'll also find me listening to international artists like Celtic Thunder, Celtic Woman, and Westlife.
